Security and Authentication Overview
The Security and Authentication settings control how the users of your contact center sign in, where they are allowed to connect from, and how external applications integrate with Bright Pattern Contact Center. Use these settings to enforce your organization's authentication rules (such as password strength, account lockouts, and multi-factor authentication), to limit access to trusted networks, and to register the applications that rely on Bright Pattern Contact Center for single sign-on or API access.
Accessing Security and Authentication
Security and Authentication is a dedicated application, reached directly at https://<your-contact-center-URL>/auth/settings or through Global Navigation.
Opening these settings requires the Manage roles and security settings privilege. Adding, editing, or deleting application registrations (on the Applications for Internal SSO and Applications for API Access pages) additionally requires the Manage users, Manage all services and campaigns, and Manage all teams privileges.
Sections
Security Policy
Define the rules that govern user credentials and sign-in: account lockouts, password complexity and history, password and account expiration, and multi-factor authentication.
System Access Restrictions
Limit access to your contact center by client IP address, and control whether the service provider can sign in to it.
Applications for Internal SSO
Register external applications that use Bright Pattern Contact Center as their single sign-on (SSO) identity provider.
Applications for API Access
Register applications that access the Bright Pattern Contact Center APIs using issued credentials and access tokens.
Saving changes
Changes are applied only when you click Save; clicking Reset or navigating away from a page discards unsaved edits.
To prevent conflicting edits, the system checks the configuration version when you save. If another administrator (or the same user in another browser tab) saves changes after you opened a page, your save is rejected and you are notified, so that you can reload the page and reapply your changes.
